Well 2022 has been a roller coaster ride for Livermore real estate. We started off with home prices climbing fast. About midway through the year triggered by rising mortgage rates prices went back down. The remainder of 2022 prices were fairly flat. Multiple offer bidding wars were gone almost completely.
Most of the forecasts I have read are predicting 2023 prices will be pretty stable and that rates may drop a little. They already have come down from their recent highs above 7%. It’s a lot easier to buy right now. The lower prices and no bidding wars at least partially offset the higher rates and we’ve seen a few good deals recently.
